I was genuinely impressed with this company. I broke down near Preston and after a few moment of searching, I found Higher Walton Garage and Recovery. I called them and they were there to pick me up within an hour of breaking down. It was also a very reasonable price. Adam attended my van and took it to their garage. Adam and the team were absolutely spot on diagnosing the problem. They were transparent with cost and timescale of works required. My timing belt went so I expected a substantial amount to repair it. I trusted them that they would do a great job and they did. They were the best for the job. My van is back and running. Thank you Adam and the team. Will see you for a service and a turbo swap soon.

I had an unexpected encounter today breaking down, luckily quite close to the Higher Walton Garage. A mechanic down the lane sent me over there, and I am very pleased with the excellent service I got. Despite not having a booking, Adam managed to squeeze me in and get my car sorted in a breeze, and gave me a very reasonable price which I was not expecting as it was on the spot work, with no booking! Great team, very helpful and friendly, highly recommend!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS GARAGE:Initially back in early November, Adam attended to diagnose the problem with my van, it was a big job that needed doing, (Timing chain/engine work) he explained it would be a few weeks before they could do anything, that wasn’t a problem I could wait……Adam was very polite and I felt confident that they could get me back on the road.We use the van for charity work on the local area.Now it’s the end of Jan and van still not been collected and not been fixed.I sent Adam another text today asking for an update, let me know if you can still the work or not, he responded “better if I find another garage”.I called the office and after having a conversation with Adam today he stated he tried to call me 4 times to arrange collection, this is untrue, no missed calls have been received.(Even if the calls had been made why not leave a voicemail ?????)The only communication has been from me to Adam by text from November until today, some messages he replied to some he didn’t.After the initial visit and diagnosis I would have highly recommended this garage, but since the lack of communication and stating he tried to call when he clearly hasn’t, and trying to implying it was my fault for missing the calls, (that never happened) I have no option but to put on my first ever negative review.11:34 30/01/2025Adam just called me, I answered right away he got irate and even swore during the conversation, told me I’m one of those customers we can’t please…..Not true at all, I explained my disappointment in lack of communication all I wanted was for my van to be fixed and for Adam to keep to his word.I asked why he didn’t leave a voicemail if he called and his reply is I never leave voicemails. Not sure if that’s good practice, surely leaving a voicemail is the correct and polite thing to do.FOR THE CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE RECEIVED I HAVE FEEL A NEGATIVE REVIEW IS NECESSARY.
Can't rate this place highly enough. They diagnosed an issue with my car between christmas and new year when every other garage seemed be closed, and repaired it as soon as possible and at a very reasonable cost. Very knowledgeable guys, friendly and professional and I wouldnt hesitate to take my car back to them again. Thanks very much for helping me out!

Great little garage. They went out of their way to help me and my family after we broke down on the motorway. Fast efficient and honest. Adam was a real gentleman and made a nightmare day that little bit easier. Which was really appreciated. Came and collected the car quickly and had us back on the road the next morning. I'm writing this reveiw to thank Adam and max for sorting out the turbo on my Ford galaxy , I've tried ringing around garages and no one wanting to take this job on and it was the same with the turbo on my skoda , in fact it was left for 2 minthes in a garage in Radcliffe and I had to take it back off them, these have taken a hard Job on and done it brilliantly , I can't praise them enough , I will be using these guts from now on a the time as I think everyone should know this that this garage fixes cars nit just changes parts like most do now , this is very rare to find and I recommend them to all who want there cars done , I'm a plumber and see the same thing in the trade , if you want a proper mechanic that does a mechanics job nort just a quick fit fiemtter with only about of knowledge or just lazy , ring these up , top lads ???????
Very fast, friendly and informative. Saved my life after getting stuck at Morrisons after hours. Would definitely recommend especially in bamber bridge area.
Car developed a problem while driving, called a couple of garages I have used but all busy, however one provided the number for these guys, gave them a call and they said they would be with me in around 30 minutes, arrived on time and the driver got me hooked up and got me home, nothing was too much trouble and he managed to reverse my car into the drive. On the way home I asked if the car could be taken to his garage to get checked out but they were busy as well, however he gave me the number of a mobile mechanic to contact. All in all an exceptional service by these guys especially considering it was near to Christmas, driver very helpful and polite, if I need a tow home again I will be contacting these guys. Would highly recommend
Fabulous service from these guys. Used them for the 1st time on Monday & definitely use again if needed. They were with us within 20mins of calling. Not only did they get the car back home asap but also helped with what we needed to fix it & were to get the parts from. So friendly & helpful will definitely be recommending to friends & family .
My new garage. First used for an emergency repair Feb 2022.Great service and sorted same day. They have since helped me with advice and I will be using them in future. They do usually work on larger vehicles but happy to help with my small car.
I've used Adam a few times now for various jobs. Today I had a vehicle break down. Adam came straight to site within 30mins, got my vehicle started and we took it back to his workshop to diagnose the fault. The fault turned out to be the engine earthing wire, luckily not a big job and I was on my way quite quickly. Sound, down to earth chap, not out to rip people off, honest as they come and will always help you out. Will defo be back!
Thanks to higher walton garage picked my van off the m6 motorway was there in less than 30mins from my call and had me on my way home in no time thanks again
Within the bad luck of having a clutch breaking down and no breakdown cover, we were Lucky enough to get Adam from HWG who was absolutely amazing. On top of the recovery service he helped us find a place to fix it quickly. Couldn't ask for better service and attitude. Absolutely brilliant.
Broken down on m55 called higher Walton garage ,came out straight away ,towed car to local garage for advice and the taken back home . Cannot recommend them enough totally professional,helpful and value for money for the service .
